Yessssss

Kevin Bacon was excellent in Frost Nixon, Footloose, Finding Nemo, Mystic River, A Few Good Men, Apollo 13, Hollow Man, Death Sentence, and of course Fucking Balto

Yessssssssss!!!!!!

Depressing

That we can live in a world filled with both excess and deprivation

Maybe one of these days things will change

But probably not

Very provocative piece

Finally

An ad campaign that isn't asinine bullshit

Interesting

I've noticed that you're style reminds me a lot of Akira Toriyama, whose art I love deeply, with the eyes and the proportions.

I think the gritty style of the coloring makes it unique and gives it personality, breaking free of any kind of mold or style and making it your own.

I have to say...

I agree with Jason on this one

But in all seriousness I think you're one of the best artists on this site. You have you're own unique style that endears me. This particular piece looks great. The dusty asthetic and the dim glow of the screen encaptures a lot of a sort of steampunk/futuristic vibe. Not to mention that it exudes Newgrounds.

It really feels like this character exists in the universe of Newgrounds in a living way. I think integrating the personality of the site is a great touch.

Shirt Design

This whole image just screams to be put on a shirt. I really love the design at the bottom with the gates.

It adds an ethereal edge to the entire image which is otherwise very spacious. It would have been nice to see you do more with all the spots of black but the simplicity makes it subtle and casual.

Great for a shirt or sweater.

Yeah...so many people here asked now for a shirt of this maybe I should really get some printed! :)

Thank you a lot for the nice review and the 9 stars!

cheers!

I don't know wut to put here...

I like to keep the review in this box here.

Anyway, I really liked the presepective on this one. The waySpark Mandrill's arm is swollen up to show what looks like a fist ready to strike. It creates a sense of tension without complicating the peice and ruining the cartoony, fluid tone.

It also helps that X is rearing back to show the palpable sense of intensity in the scene. All the while retaining a cartoon vibe and a fluid stillness. A lot of artists might try to sketch in veins popping or a visually apparent heaviness in the scene. But you let the viewer imagine it for themselves, without putting too much into it.

I never knew

And all this time I thought it was Jamoke's demonic and pandemic ejaculate banning me

My dreams will be haunted by the truth, I am allergic to steel cutting into my flesh....

:(

A lot of personality

I really like the unique kind of personality this character has, whether it is the smiling mask or just the posture.

This dripping effect is a nice touch and the attention to details such as wrinkles and decomp is impressive, a theme I have seen in your other works.

It would be cool to see you do a smoother image in the future

Colorful

I really like when people use gaudy colors in their art.

Probably because everyone likes to draw depressing scenes in heavy rainfall where the only colors are red, grey, and black.

I've always liked a more vibrant character, that's why all my SC4 characters are a combo of blue, magenta, green, yellow, etc.

Very nice

Egoraptor responds:

Thanks! I agree, I think that speedpainted concept art look that most modern fantasy or sci-fi productions have is really lacking in soul and character. Nothing beats those characters and designs that just pop right out at you!

Feel free to lead off at any time!
